My wife and I and our daughter and son-in-law stayed two nights in Amsterdam in early January 2017. This hotel is centrally located where shopping, restaurants and museums are in easy walking distance. The accommodations and service is first class with the all of the charm of a boutique hotel. The combination of old Amsterdam buildings with modern conveniences such as deep bath tubs and large rain showers is ideal . The staff attended to every detail and their restaurant is one of the best in the world. We will continue to stay at the Ambassade Hotel every year.
This was my first visit to Amsterdam and could not have selected a better hotel!! We booked for 4 days arriving on 2 Jan 17 and had an extremely enjoyable and comfortable stay in a canal view room – well worth the extra cost. Every member of staff was very courteous and nothing was too much trouble for them from advising on where to eat to what the best attractions were and best times to visit to avoid queues. Booking museums etc through the hotel was an added bonus and avoided waiting in line.
Wow wow wow Loved this place , the lovely bar , the staff , the free welcome drink , the room , could NOT be better ! The view is great across the canal to the old wonky houses and the boutique shops are 100 metres away , we loved it 🙂
This was one of the best hotels I have stayed at. The location is perfect for Amsterdam- by the beautiful 9 streets area near the flower market, and walking distance to many of the sights (Jordaan, central shopping area, damm square) . The staff were so helpful- they assisted me booking a dinner cruise before the holiday and left chocolates for my partners birthday. We arrived later than expected and they recommended a fabulous little grill bar nearby that was still serving food. We forgot toothbrushes and a plug adapter and they gave/ lent us both. The library bar was wonderful- a little oasis of calm to watch the world go by and read. I wish we could of stayed longer!
My wife and I spent 6 nights at the Ambassade Hotel. Our room was lovely. Our bed very comfortable. The proximity of the hotel to the 9 streets was a real plus. The view from our window — looking over the canal at the buildings across from us was endlessly appealing. Perhaps more than anything, we appreciated the warmth and generosity of the office staff. Their enthusiasm in helping us find our way around Amsterdam made us feel quite at home in their hotel and in their city.
Each summer I travel with my adult children, a tradition that keeps us connected in our busy lives. Our first trip to Amsterdam, the Ambassade was hands down one of our favourite parts. We have stayed in some incredible hotels around the world but the entire experience here exceeded many. We had the two level suite; the bathroom I understand is the size of a normal room in town. Spacious with I believe 5 skylight Windows to make the best of the rain we experienced. Roomservice was spot on, front seat staff unparalleled and William in the restaurant was not only a laugh-riot but extremely helpful with his tips on the city
Bravo to The Ambassade and thank you.
