Vacancy: Housekeeping Employee

Objective

As a member of our housekeeping team, you are responsible for the daily cleaning, tidiness, and overall appearance of the guest rooms and the hotel (both front and back of house). The cleanliness and appearance of the rooms and public areas ensure that our guests experience a warm and welcoming environment in our hotel.

Daily tasks

Cleaning of guest rooms: Responsible for the daily cleaning of guest rooms.

Cleanliness of the front and back of the hotel: Together with the team, you ensure the cleanliness of the hallways, walls, baseboards, windows, public restrooms, and the street in front of and behind the hotel.

Restocking work supplies: Together with the team, you replenish work supplies on a daily basis.

Cleanliness of employee common areas: Together with the team, you are responsible for the cleanliness of the common areas used by our staff. These areas are cleaned on a daily basis.

Room adjustments based on guest requests: Making immediate adjustments to the room setup (beds) upon guest request.

Teamwork and collaboration

In the role of Housekeeping Attendant, you will work alongside a team of housekeepers and housemen. You are guided by the Housekeeping Supervisor and Housekeeping Manager, but you work independently while collaborating with each other in a respectful manner. Although there is a clear distinction in tasks between housekeepers and housemen, you ensure a smooth and efficient workflow by working together, keeping the rooms, hallways, and other areas clean on a daily basis.

In addition to teamwork within the department, we also require collaboration with other departments of our hotel to provide the highest quality and service to our guests and exceed their expectations. This means working closely and communicating with other operational departments, such as Maintenance, Front Office, and Food & Beverage.

Qualifications

Experience in cleaning operations is a plus.
Experience in teamwork is a plus.
Proficiency in the Dutch, Spanish or English language.
Experience in working in a hotel is a plus.

Skills

Working hours: The position requires flexibility in both workdays and hours. This includes weekends and public holidays, depending on the needs of the operation.
Physical requirements: Be prepared for physical work, where you will be standing, moving, and walking around for a full 7.5-hour shift.
Work environment: Hotel, guest rooms, and hallways.

Skilled in planning, prioritizing, and multitasking.
Attention to detail, cleanliness, and hygiene.
Willing to work flexibly across different days, including weekends.
