Vacancy: Technical Service Employee

Purpose of the position

As a member of our Technical Services team, you’ll assist guests and colleagues with any technical support they require. You’ll also work with the team to ensure ongoing maintenance of our systems, buildings, and rooms. Furthermore, you’ll work with the Technical Services team to maintain safety in and around the hotel, including working conditions.

Daily activities

  • Perform routine maintenance: responsible for daily/periodic maintenance follow-up.
  • Inspecting hotel facilities to identify maintenance issues: Responsible for daily/periodic checking of hotel systems and facilities.
  • Responding to requests from colleagues and guests: responding to technical issues.
  • Assisting with maintenance projects and renovations: Together with the team, you are responsible for supporting maintenance projects at the hotel.
  • Collaborate with operational departments to maintain guest satisfaction and hotel operations at a high quality: by communicating positively with colleagues, guests’ needs are met as much as possible.

Teamwork and collaboration

As a Technical Service Representative, you’ll work in a team with several colleagues, each with a specific specialty and specific tasks. The Technical Service Manager is primarily responsible for daily management, but you’ll also work independently to a large extent. You’ll have frequent daily contact with colleagues from other operational departments. Communication between you is respectful. In addition to verbal communication, email, and phone calls, various deficiencies are reported in the Goticking software system.

Qualifications and skills

  • Experience with technical work is an advantage
  • Experience working in a team is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in the Dutch or English language.
  • Experience working in a hotel is an advantage.
  • Being able to cope with stress and act effectively in unexpected situations.
  • Being good at planning, prioritising and multitasking.
  • Attention to detail, cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Prepared to work flexible days (also weekends).

Working conditions

  • The position requires flexibility in working days and hours, including weekends and holidays, depending on the needs of the operation.
  • Be prepared for physical work that involves standing, moving, and walking around for a full 7.5 hour shift.
