Vacancy: Breakfast & Day Supervisor

Objective

The Breakfast & Day Supervisor is jointly responsible for leading, coaching, and motivating the breakfast team. He/she ensures that the team consistently operates at the correct service level through ongoing guidance and training. Additionally, the Breakfast & Day Supervisor contributes to optimizing operational processes specifically for breakfast and lunch, ensures compliance with hygiene and safety regulations, and promotes a positive and productive work environment during the morning hours.

 

Daily tasks

  • Planning and coordinating the daily activities of the breakfast team.
  • Providing feedback to team members on the floor.
  • Ensuring excellent service and a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Addressing any guest issues or complaints in a professional and effective manner.
  • Managing orders and inventory for both breakfast and the restaurant.

Projects

  • Contributing to the development and implementation of the breakfast buffet in collaboration with the F&B team.
  • Training and development of team members, including product knowledge, barista expertise, etiquette, and safety training.

Teamwork and collaboration

  • Enthusiastically sharing knowledge and experience with colleagues.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for both guests and the team.
  • Collaborating with the F&B Manager and other team members to discuss and implement ideas and departmental developments.

Qualifications and skills

  • Demonstrable experience in the (higher-end) hotel or restaurant sector.
  • Experience in team leadership and maintaining oversight on the floor.
  • Thorough knowledge of F&B operations, including product knowledge and hygiene regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Enthusiastic and inspiring leadership, with the ability to create and maintain a positive and efficient work environment.
  • Relevant certifications and training in hospitality (e.g., SVH, HACCP) are a plus.

Working conditions

  • Early morning shifts for breakfast (starting between 06:00–08:00).
  • Flexible working hours, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Ability to stand and move for extended periods.
