After Eduard Janssen completed an MSc in Real Estate at Kingston University in London, he worked with international real estate companies. Eduard Janssen combines his real estate expertise and strong interest in urban development, history, art and culture into a unique form of hospitality. Besides this, he has been living in the seventeenth-century canal ring area of Amsterdam for more than 20 years. Eduard believes that our view of history shapes the way we view the present. After a brief introduction to the book collection of the Ambassade Hotel in the hotel’s Library Bar, our private guide, Eduard Janssen, will explore with you the extensive in-house CoBrA art collection. During the tour, Eduard Janssen will give a clear overview and cast new light on the history of the influential CoBrA movement and (affiliated) artists.

After a brief introduction to the art and book collection of the Ambassade Hotel in the hotel’s Library Bar, Eduard Janssen will explore the centre of Amsterdam with you. This tour includes Dam Square, the Amsterdam Stock Exchange, the Red Light district, the Old Church, the Dutch East India Company, the University of Amsterdam and places where Rembrandt and other luminaries lived and worked.

For your own safety, biking experience is essential and in case of bad weather conditions this tour may be cancelled or, upon your wish, changed into a walking tour.
