The canal houses of the Ambassade Hotel are built throughout the 17th, 18th and 20th century. Owing to its historical architecture, no two rooms are alike at the Ambassade Hotel. This individual character is further reflected in the variety of décors and colour schemes in the rooms. All this gives each room its inimitable atmosphere of cosmopolitan generosity and typical Dutch cosiness.

DELUXE CLASSIC
Our stylish and luxuriously furnished Deluxe Classic double rooms with a courtyard view are equipped with a bathroom with a bath or shower, a comfortable seating area, and coffee and tea facilities.
You can choose between a large queen-size bed or two separate single beds. A baby cot can be placed in the room free of charge.
DELUXE CANALVIEW
Our Deluxe Canalview rooms offer a spacious and luxurious design with a guaranteed view of the canal. They are equipped with a bathroom featuring a bath or shower, a comfortable seating area, and coffee and tea facilities.

SUPERIOR DELUXE CANALVIEW

TRIPLE ROOM
Ideal for a small family – Spacious and comfortably furnished rooms, equipped with a bathroom featuring a bath or shower, a comfortable seating area, and coffee and tea facilities.
The triple rooms are either furnished with a king-size bed and a single bed or three single beds. A baby cot can be placed in the room free of charge.
FAMILY ROOM
DUPLEX (SPLIT-LEVEL) SUPERIOR ROOM
These rooms offer a two-level layout with a sleeping area, seating area, and bathroom connected by an authentic spiral staircase. Enjoy ultimate privacy with a view of the canal. The rooms are equipped with a bathroom featuring a bath or shower, a comfortable seating area, and coffee and tea facilities.
You can choose between one spacious double bed or two separate spacious single beds. A baby cot can be placed in the room free of charge.
GRAND SUITE
All Grand Suites feature a separate bedroom and a living room with a seating area and desk. When booking a Grand Suite, you will enjoy a guaranteed view of the canal. All suites are equipped with a bathroom featuring a bath or shower, a comfortable seating area, and coffee and tea facilities.

What room types are there?
The Ambassade Hotel offers a total of 55 rooms and suites, divided over a total of 10 historic Amsterdam canal houses. Each room is unique in size, shape, and character, contributing to the hotel’s distinct charm and appeal.

Is breakfast included in the room rate?
Our offerings vary depending on the booking made, some may already include breakfast, while others may not. If breakfast is not included in your booking, don’t worry! You can always inquire about adding it upon arrival. We’re here to make your stay as enjoyable as possible, and our team will be happy to assist you with any additional requests or arrangements you may have.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Our check-in time starts at 3:00 PM, and check-out is at 11:30 AM. We understand that travel plans can vary, and we’re happy to accommodate early check-ins upon request, although additional charges apply. Also, if you arrive early, we can safely store your luggage for you, allowing you to explore the city right away and make the most of your time.
What are the parking possibilities?
At the Ambassade Hotel, we offer convenient parking options to suit your needs. Our garage provides limited parking spaces, subject to availability, for €55 per 24 hours. Located just 150 meters away, our garage can be accessed with assistance from our staff between 7:00 and 23:30 (reservations required).
Alternatively, you can also park along the canal. Please note that parking in the city center of Amsterdam is paid daily from 9:00 to 0:00, and on Sundays from 12:00 to 00:00. Payment can be made using Maestro or credit card only (cash is not accepted), with a cost of €7.50 per hour.
We kindly inform you that to reach the Ambassade Hotel by car, please take the route via Rozengracht/Raadhuisstraat and then head south on Herengracht. At the third bridge, please make a U-turn. This route will lead you directly to our hotel entrance.

Directions to the Ambassade Hotel arriving from Schipol Airport
To reach the hotel from the airport a taxi is easiest; the taxi ride takes about 25 minutes and costs approx. 47 euro. For more comfort, the Ambassade Hotel can arrange a private chauffeur who will assist you with your luggage. The chauffeur will meet you in the arrival hall after the baggage claim, behind the sliding doors, holding a sign with your name on it. If you wish us to make arrangements, we would appreciate to receive your flight details, scheduled arrival time and a mobile telephone number so the driver can reach you if necessary. Rates for one or two persons are from 100 euro, a minivan for even more comfort or 3 to 8 persons costs 132 euro; cancellations are accepted until 24 hours in advance.
Alternatively, trains go to Amsterdam Central Station every 15 minutes (5,50 euro per person). From the station you can take a taxi (approx. 17,50 euro) or a streetcar (3,20 euro per person, cash not accepted, only bankcard, Visa or Master card). Please take streetcar-line 2, 11 or 12. Get off at the third stop called “Spui”. Walk ten meters direction “Spui-square” and turn right to go into the alley between 2 café’s: “Café Hoppe” and “Café Zwart”. Cross the canal called Singel and walk to the 2nd canal, Herengracht, where you turn right before the bridge. The hotel is located 50 meters further on the right-hand side, at number 341.
Are pets allowed?
In order to make it comfortable for all visitors, no pets are allowed on the premises.
Is smoking allowed?
Smoking is strictly prohibited at the Ambassade Hotel in compliance with the regulations set by the Dutch Government. All of our rooms are designated as ‘non-smoking’. Guests found smoking in their rooms or anywhere else on the premises will incur an additional cleaning charge.

Certainly, we offer 24/7 reception and room service.
