At just a 5-minute walk away from the Ambassade Hotel you will find the famous “Jordaan” area. Originally a working-class neighbourhood, the Jordaan has become one of the most expensive, upscale locations in the Netherlands. The Ambassade Hotel has a garage with limited parking space upon availability, located about 150 meters away, reservations are required. It is also possible to park your car along the canal. Please be aware that the centre of Amsterdam has paid parking daily, from 9.00 hrs – 0.00 hrs, on Sundays from 12.00 hrs – 00.00 hrs. It is only possible to pay with maestro or creditcard (unfortunately not cash). Costs are 7,50 euro per hour.
Alternatively, it is possible to park at the public parking ‘Q-park Europarking’, on Marnixstraat 250. The hotel reception will be pleased to give you directions. This garage is located within about 7-8 minutes walking distance of the Ambassade Hotel.
Since we are centrally located, we are also very easy to reach by public transportation. For example, from Central Station you can take tram (streetcar) 12, 2, 14 or 4, which will take you about 12 minutes. You can get off at the stops Koningsplein or Rokin.
