The Ambassade Hotel offers a total of 55 rooms and suites, divided over a total of 10 historic Amsterdam canal houses. Each room is unique in size, shape, and character, contributing to the hotel’s distinct charm and appeal.

Our offerings vary depending on the booking made, some may already include breakfast, while others may not. If breakfast is not included in your booking, don’t worry! You can always inquire about adding it upon arrival. We’re here to make your stay as enjoyable as possible, and our team will be happy to assist you with any additional requests or arrangements you may have.

Our check-in time starts at 3:00 PM, and check-out is at 11:30 AM. We understand that travel plans can vary, and we’re happy to accommodate early check-ins upon request, although additional charges apply. Also, if you arrive early, we can safely store your luggage for you, allowing you to explore the city right away and make the most of your time.

At the Ambassade Hotel, we offer convenient parking options to suit your needs. Our garage provides limited parking spaces, subject to availability, for €75 per 24 hours. Located just 150 meters away, our garage can be accessed with assistance from our staff between 7:00 and 23:30 (reservations required).

Alternatively, you can also park along the canal. Please note that parking in the city center of Amsterdam is paid daily from 9:00 to 0:00, and on Sundays from 12:00 to 00:00. Payment can be made using Maestro or credit card only (cash is not accepted), with a cost of €7,76 per hour.

We kindly inform you that to reach the Ambassade Hotel by car, please take the route via Rozengracht/Raadhuisstraat and then head south on Herengracht. At the third bridge, please make a U-turn. This route will lead you directly to our hotel entrance.

To reach the hotel from the airport a taxi is easiest; the taxi ride takes about 25 minutes and costs approx. 47 euro. For more comfort, the Ambassade Hotel can arrange a private chauffeur who will assist you with your luggage. The chauffeur will meet you in the arrival hall after the baggage claim, behind the sliding doors, holding a sign with your name on it. If you wish us to make arrangements, we would appreciate to receive your flight details, scheduled arrival time and a mobile telephone number so the driver can reach you if necessary. Rates for one or two persons are from 100 euro, a minivan for even more comfort or 3 to 8 persons costs 132 euro; cancellations are accepted until 24 hours in advance.

Alternatively, trains go to Amsterdam Central Station every 15 minutes (5,50 euro per person). From the station you can take a taxi (approx. 17,50 euro) or a streetcar (3,20 euro per person, cash not accepted, only bankcard, Visa or Master card). Please take streetcar-line 2, 11 or 12. Get off at the third stop called “Spui”. Walk ten meters direction “Spui-square” and turn right to go into the alley between 2 café’s: “Café Hoppe” and “Café Zwart”. Cross the canal called Singel and walk to the 2nd canal, Herengracht, where you turn right before the bridge. The hotel is located 50 meters further on the right-hand side, at number 341.

In order to make it comfortable for all visitors, no pets are allowed on the premises.

Smoking is strictly prohibited at the Ambassade Hotel in compliance with the regulations set by the Dutch Government. All of our rooms are designated as ‘non-smoking’. Guests found smoking in their rooms or anywhere else on the premises will incur an additional cleaning charge.
